چکیده

The present work reveals the beneficial role of sodium nitroprusside (SNP; NO donor concentration: 50 and 100 µM) in mitigation water stress accompanied by a reduction viral disease incidence tomato plants subjected to deficit irrigation. were grown under two irrigation regimes: well-watered (WW; irrigated after depletion 55–60% available soil water) (WD; 85–90% seasons 2018 2019. results indicated that conditions, plant growth, chlorophyll, relative content (RWC), fruit yield decreased. Conversely, significantly increased MDA, proline, soluble sugars, antioxidant enzymes’ activities. Moreover, it was obvious negligible increase from NO2 NO3. Water-deficit stress, however, had positive impact on reducing percentage (TMV TYLCV) plants. Similarly, SNP application form foliar spray reduced incidence, severity, concentrations TMV TYLCV raised both WW WD conditions. treatment at µM achieved better could be recommended induce tolerance stress. Thus, highlights (SNP) alleviation subsequent during

In order to study the effect of physiological and biochemical responses of tomato cv. Rio Grande to foliar spray of Megafol under water deficit stress, an experiment was carried out in a split plot based on randomized complete block design with three replicates in Research Filed of university of Zanjan as during 2015. Treatments consisted arrangement of three irrigation levels (starting irrigat...

Exogenous nitric oxide (NO) ameliorates salinity-induced oxidative stress in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) plants

Nitric oxide (NO) is involved in numerous physiological and stress responses in higher plants. Tomato is one of the most important vegetable crops in the world and previously it has been reported that salinity induced an oxidative stress affecting its redox and NO homeostasis. Using tomato plant exposed to 120 mM NaCl, it was studied whether the exogenous application of NO could ameliorate the ...

Effects of Exogenous Nitric Oxide on Germination and Physiological Properties of Basil under Salinity Stress

Nitric oxide (NO) is a bioactive molecule, which was found to have several physiological roles, including antioxidant. To have a better understanding of the effects of NO concentrations (0, 0.1 and 0.2 mM) on germination, growth, photosynthetic pigments, lipid peroxidation and antioxidant activity of basil (Ocimum basilicum L.) under different salinity concentrations (0, 100 and 200 mM of NaCl)...

Exogenous Melatonin Mitigates Acid Rain Stress to Tomato Plants through Modulation of Leaf Ultrastructure, Photosynthesis and Antioxidant Potential.

Acid rain (AR) is a serious global environmental issue causing physio-morphological changes in plants. Melatonin, as an indoleamine molecule, has been known to mediate many physiological processes in plants under different kinds of environmental stress. However, the role of melatonin in acid rain stress tolerance remains inexpressible. This study investigated the possible role of melatonin on d...

The investigation of the alleviated effect of copper toxicity by exogenous nitric oxide in tomato plants

As a bioactive signal, nitric oxide (NO) is involved in multiple plant physiological responses, especially under some abiotic stress. Here, we investigated the effects of exogenous nitric oxide on both the reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging metabolism and regulating functions of plasma membrane and tonoplast in tomato plants treated with 50μM CuCl2. Copper stress induced significant accum...
